The default settings for scanning a photo, which you can use or change, are automatically displayed. To see how the photo will appear when scanned, click Preview. If needed, change your scan settings, and then preview the image again.
Click Scan.For the issue with 'HP Solutions Center' i would suggest you to install it in Compatibility mode and see if it helps:Now, to install in Compatibility Mode, follow these steps:a. Locate the executable file (.exe file) for the driver installation program.b.

When I select thatr it tell me that the program is already installed and I opened it.I actioned step #2and #3 and the first page was scanned.Re step #4 - there was no option on the toolbar to select 'New Scan'.re the HP Solutions Center - I tried it again, and it worked.
Not sure why the program didn't launch the first time(s) I launched it, but it did now.I would still like to be able to use the Windows Scan app. Any other suggestions? Perhaps I did not select the correct app from the search. Could you forward a link?Thank you!!
I have a HP Photosmart 7520 flatbed, all-in-one printer/scanner.I tried your steps 1-7 and in the New Scan dialog box was not able to find PDF. I tried selecting Photo, Document, flatbed, and paper feeder. The only available file types are BMP, JPG, PNG, and TIF.And I always get only one independent page per scan. I am not able to scan multiple document pages into one single jpg file, that in some cases could be a substitute for the pdf.The square at the bottom of the New Scan windowPreview or scan images as separate filesis unmarked and inactive. This doesn't say how to scan multiple pages of a document into one image.

I've been scanning documents all morning, but even unchecking 'Preview or scan images as seperate files' doesn't do anything. I still get a different image for each scan,with no visible way to add a page to the image or any way to scan except for 'New Scan'. Does Microsoft honestly believe that the only think home users are scanning are photos? Lex luger making a beat.

I have a 22-pg disability report I have to upload to the Department of EconomicSecurity, and I can only upload once, I can't upload 22 separate images. I only need to scan once every three months, so I don't need to upgrade to 'professional' anything. I can re-install the Canon software on this laptop (my son's) to get it done, but it'sso freaking annoying and I'd rather just use what came with Windows. Except that I can't find the answer on how to get it done.
